Academy

  • Distribution of Programme souvenir

  • Presentation of Sing‘theatre Academy’s activities
  • Assist with Ticketing ( Sales & Issuance)
  • Ushering within the theatre
  • To collect filled up feedback forms from audiences
  • Assist Stage Management team with movement & maintaining conditions of sets, props & equipment. Also prepares set & props for performer’s use.
  • Assist in sourcing, construction & repairing of sets & props.
  • Stage runners to assist with simple but important tasks during show days.

Job description:

  • Assist in Make-up Application for the performers.
  • Assist in hairstyling of the performers.
  • To prepare costumes for performers & maintain the conditions of the costumes. May be involved alteration.

Job description:

  • Sing’theatre Academy students comprise of children aged 4 to 12 years old. You will be required to be their chaperones during in-theatre rehearsals & show days.
  • To ensure safety & maintain welfare of students.
  • To be responsible and make sure they are taken care of.

  • To take photographs on the show, rehearsal & behind the scenes action.
  • To take archival video of the shows.

Production

  • Distribution of Programme souvenir

  • Presentation of Sing‘theatre’s activities
  • Help them to collect their tickets showing the right table to go to (Welcome Desk/ Community outreach and Academy presentation/ Lucky Draw and Vouchers/ or Tickets Sale if they don’t have a ticket yet)
  • To collect filled up feedback forms from audiences

Community Outreach – Musicfest

  • To perform at least 2 sets of 20 mins of singing.
  • To perform at least 1 set of 20 mins of Dance
  • Technical management/overseeing of performing spot. Prepare & ensure that performers have all of their technical equipment
  • Site preparation. To standby the next performance to facilitate smooth flow of the show
  • Distribute booklets and Flyers to Audience at your performing spot
  • Artists Schedule and incident tracking. To monitor & ensure show is on schedule
  • Maintaining the safety of Site & Crowd control

Job description:

  • Welcome performers.
  • Ensure Artist sign Artist Consent Form
  • Inform Artist on performing locations and assign Volunteers already registered (list provided)
  • Deal with report/requests from the performing spots regarding Artists’ scheduling
  • Ask to Artists their list of songs

Job description:

  • Welcome artists upon arrival
  • Usher performers to different performing spots
  • Make an announcement to patients/guests watching the show about MusicFest and the artists before the start of performance & thank them at the end
  • Distribute flyer at the performing spot 

Job description:

  • To distribute flyer & booklets all around the hospital
  • To replenish flyer & booklet holder at the various performing spots

Job description:

  • Snap pictures of the performers entertaining patients / audience at performing spots.  
  • Important to see on same picture patients and artists and have pictures with just artists

Job description:

  • Welcome Volunteers
  • Ensure Volunteers aware of their roles clearly: give them their task file if they don’t have it.
  • Give out T-shirts to all Volunteers
  • Welfare of Volunteers

Job description:

  • Pick up Patients following your team leader instructions Ensure that each patient has a sticker indicating the ward that they came from.  
  • After performance, Volunteers to send patients back one at a time.  
  • Distribute goodie bag to patients

Commitment for Academy Volunteers

The Academy showcase will be in May/June 2018. The show dates will on 17th to 20th May 2018 & 9th to 10th June 2018. The detailed schedule will be made known 1 month before the show.

Commitment for Production Volunteers

Our shows usually run for 1 -2 weeks. You are required to commit to at least 30% of shows depending on the schedule.

Commitment for Community Outreach:  Musicfest Volunteers

Musicfest@SGH is 1-day event. Volunteers can either sign up for Morning Shift 9am to 1.30pm or Afternoon Shift 12.30pm to 5pm or both. Please note patient fetchers task is from 5pm to 9m.Food / drinks will be provided depending on your shifts. You will also be given a t-shirt.
