In April 2016, Musical Rendezvous at the National University Hospital celebrates its first anniversary with a star-studded programme and a strengthened commitment to bring the healing power of music to patients, hospital personnel and caregivers.
The immense success and positive reception of the monthly programme launched in 2015 have encouraged presenting sponsor AXA Singapore and co-organisers National University Hospital and Sing’theatre to expand the event, which will now feature weekly musical incursions into the wards in addition to the existing monthly lobby performances. We continue our commitment to bring live musical events to bring joy to patients, staff and caregivers all-year-round!
Starting officially on 6th April 2016, the new Musical Rendezvous @ NUH, presented by AXA Singapore, will showcase a fantastic roster of talented professionals and acclaimed Singaporean artists all year-round, such as world-famous jazzman Jeremy Monteiro, true-blue “Singapore Boy” Hossan Leong, traditional Malay Music Ensemble Sri Mahligai, the Asian Contemporary Ensemble, Cat Ong & Friends, A Flutey Affair’ and many more!
Along the year, a specific musical programme will be tailored for NUH to offer many different musical genres to hospital’s patients, staff and visitors: from classical to folk, choirs to Pop or Chinese music.
By December 2016, all 1000 beds and 43 wards of the NUH will have received the visit of the artists from the Musical Rendezvous @ NUH.
