Terms & Conditions
Please note that registration and admission to “Sing’theatre Academy”, the musical theatre classes organised by Sing’theatre Ltd, are subject to the conditions below. Non-compliance with these terms may result in the student not having access to class:
Registration and Fees
The registration is confirmed only upon reception of registration form and the FULL payment, prior to the first class of the term or workshop. Invoices will be sent at the end of each term to re-enrol in the following one. Fees paid are neither refundable nor transferable.
Because of the high recognition of our classes and to guarantee each apprentice’s spot, students are required to inform Sing’theatre 4 weeks prior the end of the current’s year term of their class withdrawal for the following term or students will be automatically re-enrolled and invoiced.
Lessons, Classes & Showcase
Some course materials or costumes may need to be purchased as advised by the teacher.
Students for workshop and classes are required to wear Sing’theatre Academy t-shirts, black stretch trousers and closed shoes for all classes. Only non-marking shoes and dance shoes are allowed in all the studios
No food and drinks are allowed to be consumed inside the studio.
Tickets will need to be purchases to attend the year-end showcase (applicable for students enrol in on-going classes only). Extra rehearsal time may be needed a few weeks prior to the year-end showcase. (No extra fees will charged for these sessions.)
Absence
There will be no makeup classes if a student misses a class for any reason excepting cancellation of that
class by Sing’theatre Ltd.
There will not be nor replacement nor refund or discount of lessons for students who are absent due to travel, illness or other personal reasons or in the event of natural disasters or any circumstances that are beyond the control of Sing’theatre Ltd.
Pick Up and Drop Off from Class
Sing’theatre Ltd’s responsibility begins only when the student is dropped off to the classroom when a teacher is present in the room. Sing’theatre Ltd is NOT responsible for students being dropped off outside the building or left unattended anywhere else but the studio. Sing’theatre Ltd’s responsibility would disengage once the student has left the class.
Medical Conditions
In case of need, and in the event that the legal guardians cannot be contacted to give consent, the teacher in charge may authorise the medical examination of the child, the calling of further medical or specialist advice or the removal of the child to hospital, all the expenses thereby incurred to be met by the legal guardians.
The legal guardians/student agree that Sing’theatre Ltd or any person authorised by Sing’theatre Ltd shall not be liable or responsible for any accident or personal injury sustained or suffered by the student, or for any damage to property however caused while the student is participating in any activity connected to Sing’theatre Academy programme.
Please do not come or bring your children to class if they are sick –Sing’theatre Ltd reserves the right to ask guardians to take their children home, if they arrive at class clearly unwell. A medical certificate is required when a student has been cleared of any contagious illnesses.
Media release
Should a student happen to appear on photographs/video/recording taken by journalists or by the production company during classes or performances, the legal guardians/student acknowledge that they gives full permission for use and reproduction of these photographs/video/recording.
Discharge
Upon acceptance of this Terms & Conditions, the student/legal guardians of the student for him(her)self, his(her) heirs, executors or administrators remise, release and forever discharge the Sing’theatre Ltd, its teachers, officers, servants, agents and any other persons authorized by them, from all and any claims, demands, actions or cause of action on account of his death or account of any injury (including injury resulting in death) however caused or sustained by his/her, and for loss of or damage to (however caused) his/her personal belongings suffered at any time during the course of classes.
Damage
The legal guardian agrees to indemnify Sing’theatre Ltd, its management, staff and students and other persons authorized by Sing’theatre Ltd from all claims that the child or legal guardian may have for any damage to property while participating in Sing’theatre Ltd activities (such as classes and workshops) and while using the facility.
Personal Data Protection
The Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the “PDPA”) set a general data protection law in Singapore which governs the collection, use and disclosure of individuals’ personal data by organisations. To comply with the PDPA, we need your consent to use your personal contact details, including your phone numbers, mailing address and email address. This will allow us to keep you updated on Sing’theatre latest happenings, news-related messages and events. We will not share your personal data with any third party.
Others
Sing’theatre must be notified of any changes in address, emails or contact numbers.
Sing’theatre will inform any changes in schedules or lessons or performances via sms and/or emails.
Sing’theatre will not be responsible if the students/the guardians do not receive the messages due to technical glitches, problems or if messages are not retrieved on time.
Sing’theatre Ltd reserves the right to exclude a student whose behaviour towards the teacher or the other students is unacceptable. In this case the uncompleted classes will be paid back.
Refund Policy
Once enrolled onto a course, we have a no refund policy. However if you are uncertain about a class, we offer trial classes. These are offered as a one time payment per trial class, which will be taken off the enrollment fee should you wish to carry on with the course. Please contact us to sign up for a trial class.
In addition, please note that a minimum number of students required for a class to start. If a class does not reach this minimum, students will be informed as soon as possible, and either, be offered to enroll in another class or be refunded.
