The Spotlighters
Where passion meets performance.
The Spotlighters is a dynamic musical theatre course for adults looking to explore their performance potential in a fun, creative, and supportive environment. Whether you’re returning to the stage, building confidence, or developing your singing, acting, or dancing skills—this course is your time to shine.
This semester, students will explore songs and scenes inspired by some of the most iconic movie musicals, developing performance skills through storytelling, character work and ensemble performance. Led by performer, choreographer and educator Gaby Rae, classes focus on building confidence, creativity and stagecraft in a welcoming and collaborative environment. The semester concludes with a live showcase in our in-house Main Stage Black Box Theatre where students bring everything they’ve learnt to the stage.
It’s also the perfect stepping stone if you’re working towards joining our auditioned Showstoppers programme in the future. Whether you’re a lifelong musical fan or simply curious about the stage, The Spotlighters offers a rewarding journey into the spotlight.
No auditions needed—just enthusiasm, commitment, and a spirit of collaboration.
What can The Spotlighters lead to?
Many of our Spotlighters go on to join our auditioned courses such as The Showstoppers or AMTC. Some complement their journey by attending our musical theatre dance and singing classes to further sharpen their skills.
Graduates from our adult programmes have also continued their training at top drama schools around the world, including LASALLE College of the Arts, the Royal College of Music, and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
You’ll also find our alumni featured in professional productions across Singapore—from Marina Bay Sands to international tours—as well as in TV, film, and our own community outreach projects like MusicFest @ SGH and Singathon.

*Please note that trial spaces are first come first serve and subject to availability, so do let us know soonest. There is a $60 fee so for the Trial Class. Please note that if you do sign up for the class, this $60 will be deducted from the total class fees.
Please note:
- There is NO AUDITION necessary and places are limited to 12 students per class. A basic level of commitment* is required for the course and we ask that students be available for at least 10 out of 12 sessions as absence is disruptive to the class.
- We have No Make-Up classes at Sing’theatre Academy; any missed classes will not be refunded and will have to be forfeited.
- The final rehearsal dates and show dates are mandatory.
- Additional fees may be charged for class materials, dance wear, costumes, show tickets, etc
