Terms & Conditions
Please note that registration and admission to Singātheatre Academy, the musical theatre classes organised by Singātheatre Ltd, are subject to the terms and conditions below. Non-compliance may result in the student being denied access to class.
Registration and Fees
- Registration is confirmed only upon submission of the Student Details Form and either full payment or a completed Instalment Payment Form with receipt of the first instalment, before the first class of the semester or workshop.
- All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Lessons, Classes & Showcase
- Some course materials may be required and must be purchased as advised by the Academy Team.
- Any required costume fees will be automatically added to the class price at the time of registration.
- Students must wear the Singātheatre Academy t-shirt, black bottoms (e.g. black leggings, black stretch pants, or black shorts), and:
- Black jazz shoes (for Super, West End & Broadway Stars)
- Grip socks (for Mini & Rising Stars)
- Strictly no sharing of food is allowed, and no food containing nuts is permitted.
- Tickets are required to attend end-of-semester presentations: Free tickets for Semester 1 (Sept-Dec) and paid tickets for Semester 2 (Jan-June) Ā for children’s classes.
- All adult class showcases require the audience to buy tickets.
- Extra rehearsals may be scheduled in the weeks leading up to the performance. No additional fees will be charged for these sessions.
Code of Conduct
- Students are expected to arrive on time, be prepared, and participate actively and respectfully.
- Disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behaviour may result in removal from the programme at the discretion of the Academy Team.
- Students and guardians must treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with courtesy at all times.
Absence
- No make-up classes will be provided for missed lessons unless the class is cancelled by Singātheatre Ltd.
- There will be no replacement, refund, or discount for absences due to travel, illness, personal reasons, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond Singātheatre Ltdās control.
Pick Up and Drop Off from Class
- Singātheatre Ltdās responsibility begins only when the student is dropped off inside the classroom and a teacher is present.
- Singātheatre Ltd is not responsible for students dropped off outside the building or left unattended in non-designated areas.
- Responsibility ends once the student has left the classroom after class.
- Only Broadway Stars students are allowed to leave the studio during break time. Please note that Sing’theatre Ltd is not responsible if your child leaves. If you do not wish your child to leave the studio during breaks, please inform us in writing.
Medical Conditions
- In case of emergency, if legal guardians cannot be contacted, the Academy Team may authorise necessary medical treatment, including hospitalisation. All related expenses will be borne by the legal guardians.
- Legal guardians/students agree that Singātheatre Ltd and its authorised personnel are not liable for any accident, personal injury, or property damage sustained during participation in Academy activities.
- Students who are visibly unwell should not attend class. Singātheatre Ltd reserves the right to request that the student be taken home if unwell.
- A medical certificate is required before returning to class following a contagious illness.
Media release
- Legal guardians/students grant full permission for photos, videos, or recordings taken during classes or performances to be used by Singātheatre Ltd for promotional or media purposes.
Liability & Property
- By accepting these terms, the student/legal guardian releases Singātheatre Ltd and its authorised personnel from all claims of injury, death, or damage to personal belongings occurring during participation in Singātheatre activities.
- The legal guardian agrees to indemnify Singātheatre Ltd, its staff, and other participants from any claims resulting from damage caused by the student to property during classes or workshops.
Personal Data Protection
- In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA), we seek your consent to collect, use, and retain your contact details for class-related updates and communication. Your data will not be shared with third parties.
General
- Singātheatre must be informed of any changes in contact details (address, email, or phone number).
- Notifications regarding schedule changes, lessons, or performances will be sent via text and/or email. Singātheatre is not responsible for missed messages due to technical issues or delays in retrieval.
- Singātheatre Ltd reserves the right to exclude a student for unacceptable behaviour towards teachers or classmates. In such cases, the remaining classes will be refunded.
- In case of emergency, we will first contact the primary contact listed in your registration form. If we are unable to reach the primary contact, we will then contact the emergency contact provided.
Refund Policy
- We operate a strict no-refund policy once a student is enrolled.
- A one-time paid trial class is available and will be deducted from the full course fee if the student proceeds with enrollment.
- Classes require a minimum number of students to commence. If this number is not met, students will be notified and offered either a transfer to another class or a full refund
