In 1975 A Chorus Line opened on Broadway and held a mirror up to the unique life and struggles of real-life Broadway performers, all with their individual stories, hoping to make it big. The show was created from interviewing Broadway performers and developing their stories into the show.

Almost 35 years on and a whole continent away, The Showstoppers take on the task of showing what it means to be a Singaporean Musical Theatre performer in 2019. We will see all the hard-work, struggles, pressures and joys that come with working in one of the most demanding professions in the performing arts. The show presents the life of a modern day Singaporean performer for the first time using modern musical theatre songs and an intimate setting at Centre 42, inviting the audience to be part of the action.
