2022 Season – Open Call

Sing’theatre is holding an open call for it’s upcoming 2022 professional season. We are curating an exciting array of Musical Theatre programming and are seeking professional performers to consider for a variety of roles.

All our productions have a strong singing focus so we require performers with a strong command of their vocal technique as well as a strong stage presence. Acting through song is also essential so we are looking for performers who have strong storytelling ability & acting technique.

We seek to give opportunity to both established and new professional musical theatre performers. We would also like to encourage established artists to join our open call even if we have seen you before.

Our new season is under development; however, we do have a confirmed show in the early part of the year based on The Notre Dame de Paris. If you would like to audition for a role in this production as well you can learn one of the required extracts:

Audition information:
Date: Saturday 16th October 2021
Location: Sing’theatre Studios – Mainstage Theatre 
21 Tan Quee Lan Street, Heritage Place #02-10, Singapore, 188108 (Optional Online Audition)
Time: 11am – 1pm / 2:30-4:30pm

For those who cannot make the date, you may submit your audition online, however, we highly encourage you to attend in person.

What to Prepare:
• One dramatic Musical Theatre ballad (max 2minutes)
• 32 bar cut of own choice pop/musical theatre song
• [Optional] Prepare one of the song selections if you are interested to
audition for the role in Notre Dame.
(An audition pianist will be provided so please prepare your own sheet music for the accompanist with clearly marked cuts. For assigned songs we will have the backing tracks prepared already.)

Once you have submitted your application, we will be in touch as soon as possible to let you know if you have been selected to attend.

Please only arrive at the audition if you have been given a confirmed time slot for your audition.
(Please note due to safe management measures we may not be able to see everyone in person, but for those who are not selected for the day or cannot make it, we will give you the option of submitting online instead.)

Safe Management Measures:
We will strictly follow all Covid 19 Safe Management measures for this open call.
• ONLY FULLY VACCINATED persons may attend this open call.
• Please do not mingle with other auditionees.
• Do not arrive for your audition more than 20minutes prior to your call time.
• Please wear your masks at all times except in the warm-up room and the audition room.
• Sanitize your hands regularly.
• Do not attend if you are feeling at all unwell or have been placed on SHN/QO
• If possible, administer a self-test ART at home before attending to ensure the safety of all involved in the audition.
• The panel will be socially distanced from you at all times.
