Back to School @ The Armenian Street Party!
22 March 2017
It’s that time of year again and we can hear the school bells ringing at the Peranakan Museum! Sing’theatre Academy brought our “Glee Club” back to school at the Armenian Street Party. It was an amazing night where everyone was united by singing frenzy, from the musical enthusiasts to the cool kids!
What is the Armenian Street party 2017 all about?
The Armenian Street party is a 2-day party (10-11 March 2017) and 2017 was all about reliving the good old days of being summoned to detention class, sweating it out during PE lessons, and swooning over teen heartthrobs during Talentime. Party goers came dressed in their vintage best, or come dressed up as a family in their school uniforms for that bit of nostalgia, and party away in the street for one weekend only! The “Glee Club” by Sing’theatre Academy’s Show Choir
Led by our very own “Glee Club” teacher, Mr TJ Taylor, accompanied by Ms Joanne Ho on the piano, and the choir invited the crowd to sing aloud with them! The Glee Club comprises of 15 members of Sing’theatre Academy’s very own Show Choir which meets and practices every Monday evening at the Sing’theatre Studio. That night, at the Armenian Street Festival, there were a total of 3 sets performed. The atmosphere was simply mesmerising!
A big Thank You to all the supporting party goers who took the time to stop and sing along with us.
